Harley Davidson Bikes to Come in India Soon
The oldest bikes manufacturer of the world, Harley Davidson plans to launch bikes in India soon. American brand Harley Davidson bikes will be launched in early 2010 at price tag around 7 - 10 lakh rs.
As per the speculations that Harley Davidson was already got permission in 2007 to launch Harley Davidson bikes in India but company try to reduce import duty on Harley Davidson bikes which can help customers to buy cheaper Harley Davidson bikes with low import duties.
Harley Davidson Motor Company president and COO Matt Levatich told ET: "The high tax burden is a disadvantage to our products, but we are looking at the vast opportunity in the world’s second-largest two wheeler market. Gradually, we expect the niche bike segment to grow with infrastructure improvement and a buoyant economy."

F1 Panasonic Toyota racing ready for the Belgian Grand Prix

The lightweight English sports car builder Lotus has just unleashed a whole new type of animal onto the performance car market, taking Colin Chapman’s original philosophy to a whole new level in order to create a 257 HP supercharged hard top Lotus Elise that can go from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4 seconds. By using items like a lightweight ’motorsport’ battery, ultra-light five spoke forged alloy wheels, revised rear engine subframe with lightweight coating, lightweight fly wheel, lightweight composite bulkhead panel replaces rear window as well as alloy supercharger U-bend pipes; and by deleting unnecessary items like carpets, front mud flaps, battery cover, interior mirror, sunvisors, rear tailgate gas strut the Lotus design team has been able to shed almost 250 pounds from the compact sports car.
Although the 1.8 Liter Toyota four cylinder still makes the same 257 HP and 174 lb-ft of torque thanks to a supercharger, the Lotus Exige Cup 260 is highlighted by an extensive use of carbon fiber, motorsport lightweight wheels, Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers and rear chassis stiffness increased by 30%. The Cup car for the streets also comes with race equipment like a redesigned front end and GT3 inspired wing out back with a set of HANS device ready racing buckets inside. However this is a true track day special and the when you come to think of it $80,000 is a lot to pay for a lot of discomfort however air conditioning and an interior noise reduction pack are available at the owners request, For some owners that is only a small sacrifice to endure and a smaller price to pay for such a visceral driving experience.

Jorge Lorenzo has renewed his contract with Yamaha and will stay with the Fiat Yamaha MotoGP team in 2010. ‘Today is a good day because I have decided to remain with the Yamaha factory team in 2010. It was a very important decision and that's why I have had to take the last few weeks to make it, but I think that this is the best decision for me in this moment,’ says Lorenzo.
‘We have no doubt that he has the ability and drive to become MotoGP world champion and we are proud that he has decided to remain with Yamaha, despite having received some very serious approaches from some of our competitors. This timely decision now allows us to focus on the present championship and to make definitive plans for our 2010 MotoGP program,’ said Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing.

According to a report on Solo Moto, the legendary Germany motorcycle brand – MZ – is on the comeback path and will start manufacturing new motorcycles by 2011.
Malaysian company Hong Leong had pulled the plug on MZ back in 2008, and German ex-racers Ralf Waldman and Martin Wimmer bought the worldwide rights (excluding Southeast Asia) to the MZ name in March this year, for a rumoured 4.5 million euros.
Now, in a recent press conference in Germany, MZ have announced that they have signed an agreement with electric vehicle specialists Clean Mobile AG, and they will start producing electric and hybrid-engined scooters in 2010.
MZ’s first electric scooter, the Emmely EL1, will be manufactured in China. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the EL1 boasts of a top speed of 25km/h and will be sold in Germany as a moped. The EL1 will later be followed by EL2 and EL3 models, with top speeds of 45km/h and 80km/h respectively.
The MZ EL1 will go on sale in Germany by the end of this year, the EL2 will be available in 2010 and the EL3 is expected in 2011. We don’t know what MZ fans think of this, but we believe it’s a shame that a great name like MZ has been reduced to selling battery-powered Chinese-made scooters. Why did Ralf and Martin resurrect the MZ name if all they had to do was sell wimpy little electric scooters? Couldn’t they have just started a new company and established a new brand for that? We only hope they have something much better in store for MZ enthusiasts, which they will launch by 2011!

The Chris Pfeiffer replica F800R will come with a blue/white/red paintjob and a sticker kit which you fit yourself. The wheels are painted black (rear) and white (front), which is how it is on Pfeiffer’s own stunt bike. The headlamp mini fairing has been dropped for a stripped-out look, an Akrapovic street legal end-can is fitted as standard as indicators are LED items.

Superior technology Engine:
The Maruti Suzuki new Estilo houses the K-series 'K10B' engine under the hood. The 998cc three-cylinder engine delivers a power of 68 PS@ 6200rpm and a higher torque of 90Nm @ 3500rpm. The improved engine technology enables more power, low NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and the lighter weight of the engine helps to increase the fuel efficiency with lower emissions. The new Estilo comes with ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 18.2 kmpl.
Technical highlights of the K10B engine include DOHC (Double Overhead Cam shaft) with offset crank shaft, resulting in better volumetric efficiency, improved power and FE, high compression ratio, plastic intake manifolds for reducing weight and suction losses, Smart Distributor-less ignition (SDLi) system with dedicated plug top coils and advanced injector for superior atomization. The engine oil in the new technology K10B engine is required to be changed only after 10,000 km thus lowering the running cost.
Environment Friendly:

Toyota Fortuner Launched in India at Rs 18.45 Lakh
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd. launched its new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Toyota Fortuner in Delhi.
New Toyota Fortuner SUV Car priced at Rs 18.45 Lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. Toyota Fortuner will be available in diesel variant in India.
Akira Okabe, senior managing director of Toyota Motor Corp, told reporters during the launch that Fortuner has sold 250,000 units in more than 60 countries since its launch in 2005. The SUV, he said, would be assembled at its plant in Bidadi near Bangalore.
